NITI AAYOG

The NITI Aayog - National Institution for Transforming India a policy think tank of Govt. of India. It was established in 2015 to replace Planing Commission which followed a top down model. It's headquarter is in New Delhi. Basic Structure:- Ex officio Chairman -  Prime Minister Vice Chairman - Rajiv Kumar The permanent member of governing council are all the state Chief Ministers, along with the Chief Minister of Delhi and Puducherry, the lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar, and the Vice Chairman nominated by the Prime Minister. In addition temporary members are selected from leading universities and research institutions. These members include a chief executive officer, four ex-official members and two part time members. History- NITI aayog is formed to replace 65 year old planning commission which was redundant.The first meeting of NITI Aayog was chaired by Narendra Modi on 8 Feb 2015. Banking Ombudsman

The scheme enables a bank customer for filling complaints relating to certain services provided by banks. 1. The Banking Ombudsman is a senior official appointed by the RBI(Reserve bank of India) to redress customer complaints against deficiency in some banking services. 2.  All schedule commercial banks, Regional Rural Banks & schedule primary Co-operative banks are covered under this scheme. 3.  The Banking Ombudsman does not charge any fee for resolving customers' complaints. 4. The maximum compensation which a BO can help a complaint to get is Rs. 20 lakhs. 5. If a complaint is not settled by an agreement within period of 9 months, the BO proceeds further to pass an award. 6.  if one is not Satisfied with the BO, can approach the appellate authority who is The Deputy Governor of RBI.
